Expansion Breakout Board with A4988 ... Too hot

I want to get 4z in my machine, but duex5 is too expentive for me .
so i use Expansion Breakout Board and Pololu driver..

and I link dir+, step+, enable+ to board's S,D,E, link all signal+ to 24V-
but now , the breakout board is too hot ..
I guess because the signal- are 3.6V-, but how to resolve it
I want to Use Berakout Board to make wires clean

The breakout board should be able to drive Pololu drivers. Please post a photo of the wiring between the breakout board and the Pololu drivers.
