Cant reach 5mm/s volumetric feed rate with the Titan Aero. Help.
-
Ive reinstalled a titan aero on my printer, and now i cant get it to extrude properly. Weird thing is it used to work perfectly. I was able to reach a 5mm/s volumetric flow before, but now i have trouble reaching 3mm/s. Ive reassembled, adjusted tension, nothing. using a .5mm nozzle and 1.75mm PLA+
- Some things ive noticed:
- 210c and 235c dont make a difference with extruding
- im using the same thermistor and heater cartridge that was on my chimera, so the thermistor reading should be proper... right?
- No heat creep, got a good fan on the heatsink
- the filament immediately becomes much larger in diameter after leaving the hotend. its similar behavior to when i used some silk filaments, but it cant seem to keep up with extrusion
What could i be missing. I know it can reach 5mm/s feedrate, because i did it a few months ago with no issues right out of the box

Watching this post with interest, as I have noticed that with my titan Aero and my E3D V6 on my RailCore when I was calculating max vol rate.

@PaulHew SOOOOO about that... i remembered im using a different extruder motor, and i didnt realize that the old one is 0.9 degrees, so i was going for 10mm/s vol flow in reality because the new one is 1.8
SO CHECK STEPS/MM PEOPLE
im an idiot
