Help with Firmware version. I have a Duet Ethernet 1.0 board. What firmware version do I upgrade to? And a link to it? I can only see Duet-2 or Duet 06/085 information? Help appreciated!
Current setup is:
Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet Ethernet
Firmware Electronics: Duet Ethernet 1.0
Firmware Version: 1.19 (2017-08-14)
Web Interface Version: 1.19
Web Interface by Christian Hammacher
Licensed under the terms of the GPL v3 -
All Duet WiFis and Duet Ethernets are Duet 2 boards even though the hardware board revision is 1.0, 1.01 etc.
-
Since you're running 1.19, see these instructions: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware#Section_If_your_Duet_2_WiFi_is_running_main_firmware_1_19_or_later
-
I suggest you upgrade to firmware 2.05.1 for now.

Hello, thanks for answering
So, just to clarify
Release 2.05.1
download Duet2CombinedFirmware.binrename this to:
DuetEthernetFirmware.binupload this to the board.
Question - do I need to also update with DuetWebControl-1.22.6 or is that all included in the main combined firmware?
thanks Lorncampbell -
Yes you will need to update the DWC files as well. And also likely the wifi server firmware.

Great thanks! -
@Phaedrux said in Help with Firmware version. I have a Duet Ethernet 1.0 board.:

Nope, he's got a Duet 2 Ethernet! Also, all the caveats and provisos that relate to the Duet 2 WiFi don't apply.
Also, DWC 1.22.6 is the last of the v1 DWC versions, and will continue to run fine. You can actually upload the latest DWC (2.1.3) to the SD card, and leave DWC 1.22.6 on it, and swap back and forth between them. If you type your Duet's IP address into your web browser, you'll get 2.1.3, if you add /reprap.htm on the end of the IP address, you'll get DWC 1.22.6.

@droftarts
Thanks to all for your help. All uploaded with no problems.
So I can load DWC 2.1.3 as well? Install in the same way via Settings/General upload?
May try that laterthanks again
Lorn -
Yes you can. Just upload the entire zip file to the system folder and it should detect and install it.
There seemed to be a few bugs in 2.1.3, so maybe at this time stick with 2.0.7.

Actually, it appears that 2.1.4 is out. Please try that one.
