fans on duet 2 dont make enough power

so, im trying to figure out why my fans wont turn on and why my buck converter wont light up when connected to the fan pins. taking a reader with a multi meter the fans, even the always on fans, are only making 3v max. is there something wrong with the wiring in the board or is this a problem with the fan frequency set in the firmware? i dont think its the frequency because i can only change that on the aux fans and the always on fans are making the same voltage. i know theyre working though because i have them set to turn on at a temp and they are doing that.

Don't connect the buck converter directly to the fan pins. The fan pins are PWM controlled which the buck converter probably won't like. The buck converter should get its power from the PSU directly. The supply voltage from the buck converter can either go directly into the positive leg of the fan with the negative leg going to the negative pin of the fan connector for pwm control. Or if you want all of the fans to be on the same voltage, you can send the buck converter positive to the Vfan pin directly, which then feeds the entire fan port block with that voltage. You can then connect the fans to the board normally.

thats not really my issue im worrying more about why my fan pins, when tested directly, only gic out 3v power because even when i connect my 24v fans to my board directly they wont turn on.

okay so i might have found the issue, one of the fuses is blown, gonna go get some today while im out and about and see if that fixes it. need to find out what size it is though.
