Solved z probe wont respond to G31

think i did it right after im just stumped?? are my settings right ??

offset suppose to be a neg. # instead of pos #...maybe????

Only thing i recommend is, for me changing Z offset works if i change it in config.g G31 command and restart printer. I know it should work "on the fly", but for some reason sometimes doesnt work for me.

And no, offset should be positive, until your probe is not your nozzle like smart effector or piezo something...

Z offset is distance between your nozzle and your bed at the moment when your probe triggers. Positive 7.75 means, after probe triggers, nozzle must go down (towards bed) for another 7.75 before it can touch bed.

im stumped then because 7.75 is a larger distant that of the hieight of the nozzel after homming that is 6.30mm if i added the remaining 7.75 im dropping .95 more than the space between the nozzel and the glass??? right ?? the duet said im12.75 so am i adding or subtracting (entering a neg or a possitive ) the 7.75??? subtracted from 12.75 (homeing height) that puts me at about 6mm im at 6.3 off the deck im just not seeing it thanks for understanding i think my error has to be what and how i entered G31 -
So is it working now? As i understand your probe triggers when your nozzle is 6.30mm form glass. In that case you have to change your G31 and instead of Z7.75 there should be Z6.30. Now after homing your Z heigh in DWC should be 6.30mm + 5mm (dive height in M558 command). And when you send Z to 0, nozzle should very lightly touch the bed or be away from bed by very little amount.

I thought that 6.3 was the correct figuare to plug in by how i was looking at it. the probe was always working ive just never been able to get the enrty right now that pharadrux has got rid of the bed mesh for me in my config g i will try your suggestion

config-override will only be created if you use M500 to save certain settings.
