Monoprice Mini Delta on Duet2Wifi Calibration Problem
-
Hi,
i update my Monoprice Mini Delta with a Duet2Wifi Board.
First i struggle a bit with the IR Top Endstops. Now i repaced them with Hadware Switches, which runs well.
At bottom i connect all 3 z-Endstops(switchs) and put it as Z-Probe. So far so good. I finaly stuck now at Calibration.
I think i got a wrong high anywhere. I dont find. May sombody find it in 1 sec:). If ill do a G32 i get thees output:31.5.2020, 16:11:49 G32
Error: Z probe was not triggered during probing move
31.5.2020, 16:11:52 Error: Z probe was not triggered during probing move
31.5.2020, 16:11:55 Error: Z probe was not triggered during probing move
31.5.2020, 16:11:55 Error: Compensation or calibration cancelled due to probing errorsthe G28 seems flat but on the wrong high.:

Hmm the fotoupload doesn't work so here are the params of Height Map:
Number of points: 21 Probing radius: 52 mm Probe area: 84.9 cm² Maximum deviations: -6.839 / -5.051 mm Mean error: -5.894 mm RMS error: 0.549 mm -

They are 3 Switches under the buildsurface. I put them in row and connect them to z-probe. They trigger 1000 if hit and 0 if not hit. Ill try with P1000

G29 says:

Warning: the height map has a substantial Z offset. Suggest use Z-probe to establish Z=0 datum, then re-probe the mesh.
49 points probed, min error -5.911, max error -3.354, mean -4.845, deviation 0.643

Ok, next question. How did you get Z6? If the probe is switches under the bed that gets pushed down by the nozzle contacting, how is the nozzle 6mm away when it triggers?
If it's a contact probe the trigger height is likely slightly negative.
Have you used this?

Okay that realy helps. I thought its the hight between the trigger steps. I run the Prozess and came out at -0.003mm. And edit to config.g After reboot i get the G32 done : G32
Calibrated 6 factors using 7 points, deviation before 2.820 after 0.080
and G29:
G29
49 points probed, min error -0.535, max error 0.205, mean -0.061, deviation 0.182
Height map saved to file heightmap.csvThe Height Map dont look that good but much better as before.

Switches under the bed have a disadvantage of the bed being flexible and the whole mechanical setup being compliant in different amounts at different points on the bed. Really not suitable for generating a detailed heightmap in my opinion, though it would be fine for measuring a single point at the center to define the Z0 point. To do a heightmap ideally you'd have a smart effector or some probe type that doesn't need to physically press into the bed so much.
