My bed heater is 18c my hot end is 315c and has fault come up. Not really sure what is going on here. I have checked the wires and they seem to be in the right spot.

Just says fault and not to continue. It was showing 1500c on current but I had the effector wired wrong.

Does it work properly now, with the wiring corrected and the Duet restarted?

Hey I have a PT100 sensor that I got with my effector. I'm a bit confused about how to plug this in. Seems I need another board to use it, is that right. I'm still getting fault I just moved the 2 wires that go from T1 and T2 to T2 and T3 on the 8 pin molex plug on top of the effector.

To use a PT100 with a Duet, you need one of these https://www.duet3d.com/DuetAddons/PT100_DaughterBoard. A PT1000 (note the extra zero) does not need one.

Ahhh so would that be why I'm getting the heater error on T0.

Yes, a PT100 connected to a thermistor input will read a high temperature.

@dc42 Just put another sensor in to see what happened and I get this error

                      M305 P1 x200
Failed to initialise RTD bad response from the sensor.

@Elvis0z said in Smart effector hotend fault 315c:

If you change the sensor to a thermistor you'll need to change the configuration as well. M305 P1 x200 is for a PT100.
