Duet 2 Ethernet with Paneldue only booting with USB power
-
Hi All,
I'm currently upgrading my CR-10S Pro V2 with a Duet 2 Ethernet and PanelDue 4.3. When I turned on my printer this morning it suddenly apperas to be dead. Found out, that it is only booting when connecting the USB port. Without connecting the USB port everything keeps dark.
Strange thing, because yesterday evening this was nit the case and I didnÄt chnaged anything.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Martin

@MartinNYHC said in Duet 2 Ethernet with Paneldue only booting with USB power:
only booting when connecting the USB port
that would suggest your 5v supply or 7.5A fuse F1 if you have one. Inspect any fuse and the chip labeled
U2U3 (or upload some pictures)(if you didn't change anything odds are INT_5V jumper is in place, but you could verify this just to have all the i and t's sorted)
((i think this
Supply voltage: min 0.0, current 24.2, max 24.2
means there isn't a fuse problem)) -
Already checked the fuses and they are good.

Looks like U3 has blown!

indeed! Duet3D people will probably be along short and ask when/where it was purchased so if you add this to the thread you'll save a step
-
Whew...didn't recognized that. I'm wondering what happend because - as already said - until yesterday evening everything was fine. Just switched it on this morning without any changes
I purchased it in Berlin, Germany at Filafarm last Friday.
Thanks, Martin

@MartinNYHC sorry, sent you on a while goose chase with U2 (thats for 3.3v and I clearly need something stronger than caffeine..)
Anyways, a few of those have failed lately so just wait for the admins or mods from Duet3D to take a look and evaluate a warranty replacement.

It appears that your U3 has gone volcanic. Please contact your reseller and initiate a warranty replacement. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Will do so. Thanks.

They just gave me a new board. Very nice service
