BLTouch Z offset of the toolhead does not change on duet 2 wifi.

@4thddoughnut please use the same P like for deploy, P7.
-
tried it allso out... no results

Hi,
I don't have the I1 parameter in my BLTouch control macros.
I have no idea if it could cause problems but it doesn't seem to be required.
As to it not working perhaps you are connected to the wrong pin?

@4thddoughnut maybe we should clarify first to which firmware version you updated: 2.05.1 or 3.1.1? From the version depends which syntax for the config is necessary. Please repost the content of your config and homeall again, to know the current setting.
Please tell where you connected the BLtouch wires, so the correct config can be checked.
If you run
M98 P"config.g"
you can make a first check whether the syntax of the config is ok. -
Perhaps a photo of how you have the BLtouch wired would help us know which pins you are actually using.
-
did today my firmware update. but now i got a new problem.
-
@4thddoughnut which problem?
-
-
Good job on updating the firmware. I few things to consider.
First, your version of DWC has not been updated yet. I think you will need to do it manually because it's too old to auto update along with the rest of the firmware.
Pull the SD card and use your PC to replace the contents of the existing /www/ folder with the contents of this zip file.
https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/2.05.1/DuetWebControl-SD-2.0.7.zip
As for your video, I'm not sure what I'm looking at. What is on the bottom of the BLtouch pin?
Can you please post your current config.g and homing files. Several changes will be required along with the updated firmware.
-
@4thddoughnut if you're confused about the retract at the end of the video, it's the line M98 Pretractprobe.g in homeall. But as Phaedrux said, please post the file and let us view over it.

its a temporary repai >D the tip of bl touch has broken off. and i have mutch greater problem to deal with... doesn't have the tool tip have to be just above the built plate... cuz when i did the z probe callibration, insted of thickness of the paper witch was about 0. something. it showed me after G30 S-1 2.15 mm wtf?

@4thddoughnut said in BLTouch Z offset of the toolhead does not change on duet 2 wifi.:
M558 P5 H5 F120 T6000 ; Set Z probe type to bltouch and the dive height + speeds
In config.g This should be:
M558 P9 H5 F120 T6000In all of your homing files you should change the S1 and S2 to H1 or H2.
example:
G1 Z2.5 F6000 H2 ; lift Z relative to current position G1 H1 X-269 Y-261 F1800 ; move quickly to X and Y axis endstops and stop there (first pass)
Also, remove this
M98 Pretractprobe.g ; retract mechanical Z probe
And this
<G1 S1 Z-265 F1800 ; move Z down until the endstop is triggered G92 Z0 ; set Z position to axis minimum (you may want to adjust this)

If you make those changes along with updating DWC I think you'll be getting closer to working.
At least the BLtouch seems to be working despite the broken tip.
You can follow along this document to test and calibrate your probe more accurately. Even with the broken tip you should still be able to get an accurate trigger height.

i us the same document to calibrate my bl touch

So thanks to all of you i finaly got my work horse up and running... feels great to be back in busyness. Phaedrux, you gave me that link, well i did as you and in the duet page was told... didn't doo anything. so i installed Duet Web Control 3.1.1. works great and looks better than the old version...
Thanks for the incredible expeiriense of a great community support.

Since you've moved on to 2.05.1 with relative ease your next challenge will be the transition to 3.1.1.
