Acceleration/Jerk
-
Hi all,
OK, so the next hurdle to cross. The above calibration. I have been using TeachingTech's page for tuning when I was running Marlin, but now with reprap, I don't know how to proceed as some of the commands differ.
Can anybody please help/shed some light? It is EXTREMELY frustrating to having to change a single parameter and then having to wait about 30 minutes for a print and try to see what the changes are. The example (I will include the link below) by TT uses one print, with multiple changes (eg. X Jerk) during a print, so you can compare eg. 5 different settings on one print.
Here's the page of TeachingTech: https://teachingtechyt.github.io/calibration.html#accel
Thank you for the help!

@Veti Hi thanx - I'm having issues with regards to an easy way to tune the settings....
-
you could follow the guide form teching tech, just replace the marlin parameter with the duet parameters for jerk and acceleration.
-
@Veti OK will try
-
but before you lower your acceleration try the daa feature to cancel the ringing.

Also, you don't have to wait for the entire print to finish, you can send the commands to change the values in the gcode console while the print is running and it will take effect immediately.
You might find these macros helpful with this.

I often tune against a single wall 0 infill 40x40 square and just send commands to change accel/jerk. I also set M204 to high values while I tune my per axis accel (M201).
