I have not had a reason to use the webcam feature of dwc for some months. Today I can't get the function to work. I'm using Yawcam to run my usb camera and put it up on http://192.168.1.111:8888/.

I'm pretty sure this used to work. Now all I see if I view the Webcam tab is a windows that says "Webcam Surveillance" with a link (webcam image). If I click on the link the dwc appears to disconnect and reconnect to the printer. If I add the same url in the "URL to open when image is clicked (optional) setting I can then click on the webcam image link and see a static picture from the webcam. So I'm pretty sure the URL and port number is correct.

Has anything changed in how you set up a webcam that I missed in the release notes?

Does your webcam image provide a link to a still image?

          Which browser?
          Maybe a explanation:

@DIY-O-Sphere Current browser is Brave but I've recently tried the webcam using Firefox and Microsoft Edge with the same results.

@Phaedrux I assume so as I can open a browser tab and go to http://192.168.1.111:8888/ and I get a current static image from the camera. This address is what Yawcam 0.7.0 is advertising as its URL.

If you go to that address and then right click on the image itself and copy link you might be able to use that link.

@Phaedrux Thanks for the tip about getting the path from the image itself.

However... If I install an older dwc 2.1.2 this works OK.
The path http://192.168.1.111:8888/out.jpg results in a static image that refreshes at the set interval.

If I reinstall the latest 3.2.0-beta4 version using the same path I do not see any image only a text link "webcam image". If I click on the link the dwc appears to disconnect and reconnect.

I've only tried 2.1.2 as that was what I had laying in my downloads folder. I've got some printing to do tonight but tomorrow I'll work my way up through the releases to see if I can find when it stopped working.

This is back to using Brave as the browser.

@Phaedrux I just ran a few tests using the dwc releases I find at https://github.com/Duet3D/DuetWebControl/releases

Any version prior to 3.2.0-b3 appears to work, specifically 3.1.1 displays the camera image. Any version after 3.1.1 does not display the camera image.

It would appear that something has changed.

@DaveA thanks for doing that testing.

This might be one for @chrishamm to take a look at.
