      Hi,

I was working on a issue with homing with a z probe and encountered something I didn't know the answer to.

When homing with an endstop sensor you have a command like G91 G1 H1 X300 which will move until the endstop is activated OR until the 300mm move is complete.

Testing homing with a z probe shows there is also a limit to how far the probe/bed will move before a failure is indicated.

Since there is nothing like G30 Z300 to set the limit where is this limit set?

      Thanks.

      Frederick

I believe it's related to the M208 Z size and maybe related to the dive height. I'm unable to find DC42s post about it, but I'll ask.
