How does Duet2Maestro connect to an external drive module? I saw STP and DIR on the motherboard, but after leading out STP, DIR and EN, the motor cannot be driven. I use the MKS2209 module
      Thank you

the duet maestro does not support the 2209.
        only the 2224.

You could try picking up the step and direction signals from the connector for the 2-driver daughter board. The signal levels are 3.3V.

Hello, if I don’t use the onboard TMC2224, but use STEP and DIR on the board to connect 5 external drives, what should I do?
                Thank you

@Veti said in Question about Duet2Maestro external drive module:

the duet maestro does not support the 2209.
                  only the 2224.

And the 2208, which is the same as the 2224 with a different pinout. It may be possible to get TMC2209 drivers working too, but stall detection would not be available.

The maximum number of STEP and DIR signal pairs you can pick up is 2.

If this is the case with an external drive module, how do I set it up?
Sorry for my bad English, translation software used

You will need to common the grounds too.

We've never tried using external drivers with the Duet Maestro, but if it works at all, I don't think it will need any setting up apart from the usual steps/mm with M92.

you want to desolder the onboard drivers?

at that stage it might be easier to get a skr board and run the lpc port of rrf on it

why would you want to use a drv8825 instead of a tmc driver?
