@Stephen6309 I'm sorry to admit that this fix was forgotten to be back-ported from 3.3-beta to 3.2.2 so it only works with 3.3-beta1 and later.

            Hi,

First let me say thanks for all you hard work - it just gets better and better.

I have a 5i that reported it was running firmware 1.24.

The Mini 5 it was connected to was running firmware 3.2.2.

So I tried the update from the Mini 5 process and aside from having to push the two buttons on the 5i the process appeared to work.

The programming completed and the verification completed.

However the 5i is still reporting firmware 1.24.

            What went wrong?

            Thanks.

            Frederick

@fcwilt Duet 3 Mini 5+ doesn't support upgrading paneldue firmware from DWC with firmwares before 3.3. It's supposed be in the 3.3.

OK I will go the other route.

But how did the DWC execute the process and report that all things were fine?

                That's strange.

I run the Mini 5 in stand-alone mode.

It seemed like all was going so well.

How the DWC can verify that all is good when nothing actually changed is odd.

                    Thanks.

I have bossa installed - I will try that.

Well my brain is not firing on all cylinders today.

I had tried to update my new 5i from the DWC.

It reported that it was successful but the 5i still reported version v1.24.

It turns out that if you try to update the 5i with the 5i v1.24 bin file the 5i ends up with v1.24.

                      Who knew?

So when I went back and tried again with the correct v3.2.10 file all is now good.

Except my brain, it appears to be not so good. 😉
