BL-Touch - Mini5+ jumping z-offset?
-
Hi you guys,
It is a long time ago that I had a problem, unfortunately is there a behavior which I can not explain to myself so I would like to have your input.
Setup:
Mini5+ with two toolboards (1.0)
Firmware: 3.3beta1
BL-Touch connected to the first toolboard
Bed: Structures PEI sheetProblem:
From time to time seems the z-offset to small or to high. So the nozzle has to much distance between the bed or, even worth, driving into the bed. The magnetic pei sheet was not removed for a long time. So it can not come from some dirt between the sheet and the magnet.
I do not see any error at the console. And ideas why I have that behavior? Does anybody have seen that? Should I shut up and update to the latest firmware first?
Cheers, Chriss
Edit: Everything is original, no clones here.

First I would suggest updating to 3.3 RC3 which was just released.
https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/3.3RC3Make sure you update the mainboard and toolboards.
And aside from that we would need to see your files to have a better idea of what is happening between power up and the problem occuring. Config.g, homeall.g homez.g bed.g and your slicer start gcode.

Yes, that what I will do. Not today.. I hope that I will find the time on the weekend. I have some problems with PLA and the texured PEI anyway so I print on the flat site at the moment anyway. I have not seen that behavior there.
