Toolboard V1.1

@empi00 apart from gather data in standalone mode, no one can make use of the accelerometer.
It will start to get utilised as part of the 3.4 beta releases -
@empi00 with firmware 3.3 you can use it in standalone mode to collect data, from which you can determine the best frequency to use for DAA. Then in one of the early 3.4beta releases you will be able to use the data to tune more advanced forms of input shaping. Support for accelerometers in conjunction with SBC will also appear in firmware 3.4.

@dc42 for those of us with several Toolboards v1.0:
Will the accelerometer be used/required to be installed permanently or it's sample, change the config and take it out?I got the accelerometer, just wondering if I should consider the upgrade from Toolboards 1.0 to 1.1, which are also handier for fan voltages != 12V
-
@jbarros the accelerometer does not need to be installed permanently.
-
Can I use ADXL345 in 'future' ?
-
@tecno we don't have any plans to support that accelerometer.
-
OK, so what accelerometer do I need to get to my Toolboard V1.0 for X axis or is it so that it needs to be connected directly to Mini5+ ? Need another for Y axis.
-
@tecno it's used for input shaping, primarily on moving masses. As the toolboard is generally aimed at extruders, it would be to reduce the effect of ghosting

See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Accelerometers. If your printer is a bed slinger then you can use a single accelerometer if you can move it between the print carriage and the bed.

Thank you !
