    DWC sends the date and time when it connects. When you upload a file, it sends over the last modified time stamp with the file. We've considered using NTP but it hasn't been necessary yet.

      Personally, I'd like to see the date when the file was saved rather than when it was generated by the slicer. I have a habit of tweaking gcode files using notepad++ or similar then saving it. But I often can't remember if I made the intended changes and uploaded it to the SD card. So I have to look at the date that it was last saved on my PC then upload it again, just to be sure that I have the latest version on the SD card.

        @DjDemonD:

        The "generated by" column has a date in it. Clicking that column will give you the files in date order, presuming you used the same slicer for all files.

        Hm I can not confirm this. The order changes if I click on the Column header, but the tooltip says it is not sorted by "Last modification date". And of course I am using the same slicer 🙂

          Only some slicers include the date and time in the "Generated by" comment. I guess your slicer doesn't.

            Well, its Simplify 3D, maybe this one does not, or can I adjust this in the settings of S3D?

              No date and time for either and I have S3D 4.0.

                Just upgraded to 1.19 and I can't believe that there still isn't a way of displaying the gcode file dates and listing them in date order.

                      Please request this in the Duet Web Control wishlist forum, if it is not already there.

                          I was missing this feature yesterday. In a project with lots of iterations and low on naming discipline it's very nice to have!
