Duet 2 Wifi won't respond.
-
The Duet 2 wont respond or even give me any notification that it has been connected to my computer. I went through all of the steps on the 'duet wont respond' page and it still will not connect. I used multiple USB cables and tried my laptop as well. I'm at a loss of what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated.

@lake with no 3.3V LED, it looks like the 3.3V regulator has failed. This is U2 on the PCB, near the CE mark. Hard to say, but it doesn’t look quite right to me. How old is the Duet, and where did you buy it from? Have you connected any wiring to to the board, or has it been previously working? Some explanation of what happened before the failure would be useful.

@droftarts Unfortunately I don't know how old it is or where it was bought. I am the vice president of the 3D printing club at my college and this board was donated on a Tevo little monster with a PanelDue 7I. It looked like someone had just wired it up and never got it printing. There were also jumpers on the board when I got it. They looked like they were in some weird places.

@lake please email info@duet3d.com its way out of warranty but we might have a v1.04b we can arrange for a college club.

@lake I'm pretty sure your picture shows a damaged 3.3V regulator, probably caused by a short in the wiring of VIN/12V/5V to 3.3V.
It's possibly a short may have damaged other components, but the voltage regulator not too hard to replace, and may be the only component damaged. As the board is out of warranty, and if you have access to soldering equipment, the replacement part is AP7361C-33E-13.Ian

@droftarts Sorry for the late reply! I'll have to see if anyone in the club can solder it for us. I'll definitely try and email you since we are always looking for new tech to try out!
