      Hi!
I lost drive x from my third Duetr Wifi. I managed to replace drive X by drive E0, thanks to Your advise.
Now I want to add extruder E1 to control a dual extruder.
I happen to have a Duet Expansion Stepper Breakout Board v1.1 and a MKS TB6600+ V1.0 driver.
My questions is how to wire them and am I missing something.TB6600.jpg ?

@pertti it would be better to use the single ended connection method. Connect the S- D- and E- outputs to the EN DIR and STEP inputs of the driver. Connect the 5V pin of the driver to the 5V pin of one of the PWM outputs on the expansion board.

Ok, I connected TM6600 llke this:
          TB6600b.jpg
I tried to map it to x axis to see if it works. The result is that the steppermotor gets hot 😧 , no motion.

I have another TM6600 v1.1 , which has the pin +5 changed to GND. If I tried that, then I change the wire respectively? It has worked with MKS Rumba.

@pertti It looks like you have connected the -Step connection on the Duet to the -Enable pin on the driver, and the -Enable pin on the Duet to the -Step pin on the driver. That's incorrect, swap them over so S- goes to CLK, and E- goes to EN.

            In your config.g:

            M569 P5 R1 T2.5:2.5:5:5 S1 ; physical drive 5 goes forwards M210802

You may need R0 to enable the driver, not R1. Also set driver direction with S0 or S1.

            M584 X4 Y2 Z1 E3 X5 ; set drive mapping

            Remove 'X4'.

Note that for external drivers microstepping (M350), interpolation, steps per mm (M92) and current (M906) are set by the driver, NOT by config.g. If the stepper motor is getting hot, I'd expect you have the current on the driver turned up too high.

I have another TM6600 v1.1 , which has the pin +5 changed to GND. If I tried that, then I change the wire respectively? It has worked with MKS Rumba.

Yes, but change the wiring so S+ goes to CLK, D+ goes to DIR, E+ goes to EN, and GND goes to GND.

@pertti said in TM 6600 connection to Expansion stepper board:

              M569 P5 R1 T2.5:2.5:5:5 S1 ; physical drive 5 goes forwards

I don't know what timing the TM6600 needs, so try increasing the T values in case they are too low, e.g. try T10:10:10:10.

Ok, now it appeared that the thermistors are not in the game.
Console says that there is an open circuit. In both thermistors.
The resistance is ok and wires are ok.
Maybe somebody understands better what to do.

Ok, now it appeared that the thermistors are not in the game.
Console says that there is an open circuit. In both thermistors.
The resistance is ok and wires are ok.
Maybe somebody understands better what to do.

Perhaps it would be best to create a new thread for this issue since it's unrelated to your initial problem.

                      M305 P1 T100 B3950 R4700 ; set thermistor + ADC parameters for heater 1
                      M143 H1 S280 ; set temperature limit for heater 1 to 280C
                      M305 P2 T100 B3950 R4700 ; set thermistor + ADC parameters for heater 2

You have T100 set for M305 P1 and P2, should be T100000. T is the thermistor resistance at 25C, in ohms, and is usually 100k ohms, so 100,000 ohms.

Yes! Now I´m happy. And I will create one thread for every issue. Good moderating, then everyone can find issues easily aftewards.
