      Hello,

Not sure if this is an RRF or a DWC thing, so please switch categories if needed. Might be a wishlist item

Background. I have a D2Wifi with RRF3.3 with an external 5V supply and a relay on PS_ON that controls the 24V supply. I have M143 heater fault set to A3 to switch the PSU off, including if the temperature goes over the limit.

The other day, I accidentaly tripped this. I had set my bed to 120degC for some ABS I has having warping issues with. My bed max temperature was set to 120degC so this tripped that fault and the PS_ON kicked in and turned off the power. However, as I have the external 5V supply I was still on DWC and I noticed that no error/fault was thrown. There was no indication at all, only the fact that the bed temp started dropping and my print didn't start.

I would have expected that something should appear in the console, or the heater should be set to a Fault state if a heater error occurs that trips the PS_ON. Is this the expected behaviour? Can this be implemented?

      Thanks

I have a very similar setup using a mini5+. The only real error it will throw is the warning about vin dropping. Trying to run a heater after that will fault the heater but that's about it.

If you believe it a worthwhile feature to have RRF throw more of an error if VIN is below 10v or so I think it would be worth a wishlist add. Fault all the heaters or something... Don't know the best outcome. Hasn't happened enough so far to really be an issue.

@nurgelrot ideally the heater should go into fault state, else when you switch the power back in, it'll just fault again
