I've seen another thread but there figured I should start another. After upgrading this morning from 3.3 to 3.4b3, I've had multiple heater faults - even after re-tuning. Prior to today, I can't remember the last time we had a heater fault. And the bed temperature really did drop 15 degrees before faulting. It has always been very stable before this upgrade.

      Our current settings after retuning:

      M307 H0 B0 R0.789 C80.0 D2.90 S1.00 V23.8

      and the error we received:

Error: Heater 0 fault: temperature excursion exceeded 15.0°C (target 110.0°C, actual 94.8°C)

Please let me know if there is anything else I can research on my end. Thanks

My understanding is that there was a heater fault detection case that would never actually get triggered before but has now been fixed.

You say the 15c drop was actually correct? So the fault was accurate?

@phaedrux maybe that is a better way to look at it.. the fault was correct but the bed temp has been solid until upgrading. I'm re-tuning again now and going to try again here soon.

@oozebot I had the same problem and a retune seems to be working. I’m wondering if it also was triggering my mid print stalls/crashes by silent faults.

So the bed heater actually died. Hard to believe the timing, but maybe the fix that just went in as part of 3.4b3 caught it where it had gone un-diagnosed previously.

Sorry for the false alarm - I'll mark this as solved.
