      Hello my friends

So, i got a new hobby, yes i buy a Laser Engraver Model K40.
I search in this Forum for Information, but i found different information´s but not really understandable for me.
Because this programming stuff is not my favorite.

In the past i build my own 2 3D printers with Duet Hardware.
So i understand this hardware now, and i like Duet Hardware and support! You all are very good.

I already updated and upgraded my K40 with different things.
So i add the mini gerbil on this printer use Lightburn and so on.
It make a lot of fun to work with the K40.
And important! My wife is happy to about the results. 😁 ( Happy wife happy life)

So my Question is, is it possible to use an Duet Board instead of the original Board or the Mini Gerbil Board???
Because the connection and possibility’s of Duet Boards are much better and i like Duet.
I need to know if there is a good working solution to use a Duet or what kind of Duet?

Hopefully i get some feedback from you.

      Regards
      Uwe

Hi @uneumann36, yet it's possible. If you search this forum for K40 you will find some other users. Duet 2 boards needed a gate such as 74HC02 to interface safely to a laser, but Duet 3 and 3 Mini boards have a laser/VFD output with 5V signal levels built in.

Please do not ask me for Duet support via PM or email, use the forum

            Hey DC
            Thank you for your reply.
No Problem for me to buy a Duet3 Board.
I already have one for my 3D Printer, and i am happy with it!

The reason why i want to use a Duet Board is i am totally happy with Duet , the Forum, and your great Support. Also the possibilitys of Duet Boards are very good.

So is a manual how to use a board for K40 and or how to set it?

            Cheers
            Uwe

Here, but it's more like a puzzle.
This one is the basic guide

                @uneumann36 we have a K40 user created config here https://github.com/TeamGloomy/LPC-STM32-RRFUserConfigs/tree/master/K40 CO2 Laser - SKR 2 - ESP - paulg4h

Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

                  Verry good, Thank you.
But in the manual i found they use a Bigtreetech SKR 2 board with ESP8266 WiFi Module
                  Not a duet board!
Or is this board the same?

@uneumann36 it would also work with a duet board.
                    The firmware is the same
