    Hello,

I am trying to connect a Duet 2 Wifi to my university's wifi which requires both a username and password. Is this supported? I saw this post from 2020 saying it's not, but I am curious if anything has changed or if it's possible to add this functionality in.

As password protection is implemented I am not worried about security risks in connecting to such a large network.

    Thanks

If your campus supports just a SSID and password it will work with the below steps.

First you need to redo some of the steps 1-8 located here https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/1.)+Getting+Connected+to+your+Duet/7 . To get the printer on the campus wifi. Then you can set the very insecure password to DWC to help keep every person on campus from messing with your printer. Lookup M551

If however, you are connecting to an open WIFI network and then getting services via a web proxy+VPN with a student id/password it will not work.

@nurgelrot If you had a SBC connected Duet3 you might be able to get it working via the Linux OS in the SBC... Interesting...

@nurgelrot The wifi requires a username and password to login, not just a password.

@merlin246 I suspect that your university WiFi uses WPA2-Enterprise. This is not supported in RepRapFirmware yet, however we have work in progress which will make it easier for us to add support in future.
