TB 1LC 1.1 defective all of the sudden?
-
Confirmed, my 0.6 1LC syncs and boots just fine. All LED's display as they should.

@pastthepoint it sounds like the 5V LDO or the stepper driver is shorted/damaged. can you take a high res picture of the board?
-
@pastthepoint what was connected to the tool board with the dim LED? Did you try disconnecting everything except power and CAN?
-
@dc42 I only noticed the dim 5V LED after seeing I had no CAN Sync LED. When I disassembled everything and ran it only with 24V and CAN, I don't think it was lit at all, but in all honesty, it could've been overlooked. High res of both sides of the board incoming...

@pastthepoint its difficult to see with the picture but there does not appear to be any obvious damage on the stepper driver IC which would be one way that the 5V rail was shorted to ground causing the issue. Did you have a BL touch or other 5V device plugged in?
-
@t3p3tony I did have a BLTouch attached when this problem occured. The printhead was literally ready to go (assembly wise). The BLTouch didn't light or cycle. Same BLT performing just fine with an older tool board in place of the 1.1.

@pastthepoint There is nothing obvious pointing to why this board failed so we will replace it under warranty. It will be good to get the board back to see what is loading the 5V rail in this way. Please send an email to warranty@duet3d.com and reference this thread.
As I already mentioned the two most likely things i have seen to cause this in the past is something faulty on the 5V or a stepper motor fault that ends up blowing the driver (and internally the driver shorts 5V to ground). Please make sure your extruder and stepper motor are grounded.
