@hammad said in Duet3 Homing failed:

The board is only connected to the PC using a high quality USB cable from ANKER.

The Duet3 can be quite particular about USB cable and port. Please try some different combinations. Also make sure you remove the jumper after the erase.

@phaedrux 3 different laptops and over 15 cables and still nothing. I removed the bridge from erase before resetting the board. I'm not sure what to do now. nothing seems to be working.

@hammad do you have a powered hub you can try with?

Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

@hammad it has for people in the past. i've seen instances where standard USB doesn't provide enough power, especially laptops

@jay_s_uk Thank you so much! this actually worked. It is writing the Firmware right now. It's been at 34% for a while now. I'm just glad that it connected!

@hammad no, its not normal for it to take very long. last time I flashed one the increase in % was fairly uniform and only took a minute or so.
                        maybe try again?

@jay_s_uk Same thing. it gets stuck at 35%. I've tried it from a different Laptop.

It might be worth trying the modified version of Bossa that I released recently. See the fork of Bossa at https://github.com/Duet3D/BOSSA/releases/tag/1.9.1a-duet3d.

@dc42 It does the same and gets stuck at 34% of the writing process. Any other ideas? I hope this isn't the only way.

@phaedrux Yes, I followed the instructions in the documentation. I've tried from many different PCs and cables. The board gets detected but the writing process doesn't finish. I even left it over night and it stayed at 34%. I tried older versions of the Firmware and it doesnt get beyond 34% for some weird reason.

@hammad @Phaedrux @dc42 The firmware writing worked. The issue was the powered USB hub. After uploading the firmware to the board the 5V and 3.3V LEDS stopped working.
