I have a brand new duet and I got it to connect to DWC and work for a bit but then the status LED went dim and the board is unresponsive to anything. I wiped the flash and erased everything and tried to reupload the software with no response.

@berkey if the Status LED is dim on the 6HC, that normally means the firmware had been erased. Connect a PC via USB and see if the Bossa port appears. If it doesn't, fit the Erase jumper and try again.

Once the Bossa port appears, remove the Erase jumper (you don't need to power down the Duet first) and use Bossa to upload the firmware again. If you upload firmware with the Erase jumper still in place, the firmware will be erased again as soon as it has been uploaded.

@dc42 I have the same problem with the duet 3HC6. And when connecting it to the pc it does not recognize the duet (I already installed drivers) and I followed the procedure that it mentions @Phaedrux

@gasstaldy @Berkey Please try a different USB cable, and/or a different USB port on your PC. A lot of USB cables are for power only, and don't carry data. There's very little to distinguish between them, unfortunately. Try all the USB cables you have!
