      HI,

This is a new one for me, so Im hoping to find some help to figure out what to do next.

I have a Daedalus printer (Railcore) with Duet3 board/reprap firmware. The hot end is a Mosquito Magnum running stock e3d thermistor and heater cartridge (the printer originally came with a copperhead & the e3d heater and thermistor). The printer has been in this configuration for a while, nothing has changed recently and Ive been running several large print jobs for weeks with no issues.

Several days ago, I came out to find the printer was paused with a heater fault error. If I power cycled the printer it would start printing , but within a short period of time Id get the heater fault again

I went on the Daedalus discord looking for help , initially I was told to run a pid tune & then m500 to store the changes. I did that , the machine seemed ok & i started a print, but several hours in I got the same heater fault error. The next suggestion was to replace the thermistor. I had another e3d thermistor (new) on the shelf, so i swapped it, ran a PID tune+ m500 & then started another print last night. this morning, I came out to the shop to find ta new, but seemingly related error: "Error: Shutting down due to un-cleared heater fault after 21600 seconds"

I'm not sure what I should look at next - the heater? I've never had this type of issue before so I don't have experience troubleshooting it.

      S

@losangeles It would probably help if you provided details of the heater fault, ideally with a screenshot of the temperature graph when the fault happens, oh and post your config.g and config-override.g.
