      Sadly, today I had a short on one of my Smart Effector, it now blinks 7 times the probe appears to be dead.

      I guess there is no easy way to fix it? I don't have access to fancy soldering iron or other specialized tool.

        @Fred-Y U3 is : OPA377AIDBVR or MCP6286T-E/OT you might be able to desolder it with a normal soldering iron if you cut the pins from the IC body so you can take them off one at a time without damaging the pads on the board.

        C6 looks like it could also be damaged, hard to see. Its is GRM21BR61A226ME51L or similar

          I might have found someone with the tools and skills to replace the components.
          If it doesn't work, I will buy a new one.

          Any idea when the new version of the Smart Effector might be released?

            @Fred-Y the Smart Effector version 4 has started shipping to resellers already, but some resellers may not have them yet.
