      Hi,

Since a few month I have trouble with the Wifi connection. My set up is a Duet 3 Mini5+ Wifi, the distance between the Wifi router and 3D printer is about 4 meters. Wifi signals on my other devices are stable.

The commands I give in Yat are:

      M115
      FIRMWARE_NAME: RepRapFirmware for Duet 3 Mini 5+ FIRMWARE_VERSION: 3.4.4 ELECTRONICS: Duet 3 Mini5plus WiFi FIRMWARE_DATE: 2022-10-20 16:18:28<LF>ok<LF>
      M552 S-1
      ok<LF>
      M552
      WiFi module is disabled<LF>ok<LF>
      M552 S0
      ok<LF>WiFi module started<LF>
      M552
      WiFi module is idle<LF>ok<LF>
      M587 S"XXXX" P"YYYY"
      ok<LF>
      M587
      Remembered networks:<LF>TNCAPF318D9 IP=192.168.1.24 GW=0.0.0.0 NM=0.0.0.0<LF>XXXX IP=0.0.0.0 GW=0.0.0.0 NM=0.0.0.0<LF>ok<LF>
      M552 S1
ok<LF>Error: WiFi module reported: Unexpected WiFi state 'idle' while trying to connect to <LF>WiFi module is idle<LF>Error: WiFi module reported: no known networks found<LF>WiFi module is idle<LF>Error: WiFi module reported: network scan failed<LF>WiFi module is idle<LF>

The name off my Wifi network is XXXXX in this try out. The blue led don't blink on the board. It is very strange for mee because sometimes it wil work without problems. Since last days there is no Wifi connection with the board

Is there a solution for this problem.

      Best regards

@KeesL can you post an output of M122 when the wifi module is enabled? i.e. M552 S1

@KeesL-0 said in Malfunction Wifi connection.:

                    WiFi IP address 255.255.255.255

looks like its not getting the ip address.
maybe try removing the network (using M588 S"*") and then re-adding it?
If you want it to be a static IP address, best to set it on the router side using the MAC address than on the duet side

                      Post your config.g

Are you trying to set an IP address manually in the config?

                        Hi,

                        I did M588 S"*"
M588 => with the wifi name and password, now it's working. I hope for a long time!
But I still don't know what the cause of the malfuction was.

I did not set an IP aress manualy in the config, just followed the instructions on the Duet3D website. Getting connected to your Duet.

                        Best regards.

                        Kees
