I have two issues with this. First, is there a way to use the SPI connection for the SD card on the paneldue? since my paneldue is too far to use the ribbon cable, I have the SD card's SPI connection free and available. I'd like to connect an SBC there. The other problem lies in availability. Raspberry Pi's are not available at a non scalped up price so I have to look elsewhere, which brings a few opportunities. I'd like to use an ORDROID M1 since it's reasonably priced and it has an M.2 NVMe bay I can use a SSD I have laying around from when I upgraded my PC.

The main reason I want to avoid modding the Duet board is due to the fact I live in Ecuador. Getting stuff here is a bit of a pain in the... rear bumper, so instead I'd rather use a connection that is readily available if possible.

About the ORDROID M1, I'd like to know if it'd be possible to use said SBC or is it absolutely necessary to use a RPi

Also, I'm new and this is my very first post so I don't know in which category to post this and I hope I selected the right one.

@Ballador You need to remove the WiFi chip and replace it with an adapter board (see https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/17203/duet-2-ethernet-and-sbc/163?_=1617469843240 and https://oshwlab.com/p.cartwrig/duetdaughterboard_sbc). Once that is done, flash the Duet 2 SBC build to the board and connect your SBC.

@chrishamm what about the SBC? does it have to be a Raspberry Pi or do others work too? I was thinking of using an ORDROID M1 since those can be attained at 70 bucks directly from them

@Ballador No, just make sure the SBC supports ARMv7 instructions and that it has a relatively new Linux kernel. If you run Armbian on the ODROID M1, you should be able to install DSF. See also https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Machine_configuration/DSF_Other
