How to manually extrude multiple extruders?

Ok, so I'm stumped here
E0 is able to be extruded just fine with with buttons on the PanelDue or the web gui, but not E1? if I set E1 active, it still extrudes E0.
What basic thing am I missing here?

@JabawokJayUK make the tool active for extruder 1, then extrude

@jay_s_uk yeah tried that. i'm a dumbass, i had the 2nd tool mapped to the first tool extruder in the config. hence why i was scratching my head
