I killed my Duet2 wifi by trying to flash new firmware. I am trying to flash new firmware via Bossa but Bossa is unable to connect on usb via ttyACM0 (or ttyS0 thru ttyS5). I have tried replacing the usb cable. The ttyACM0 port only shows up when the duet is connected so it seems to see the port. I am running Bossa under sudo on Ubuntu 23.04.
What am I missing? Why can I not connect?

Forgot to mention - pushed reset button for 5 sec, 5V and 3.3V led's light up, only the USB port is powering the duet

Making some progress. Found mention of powering up with the reset jumper in place. That got me a Bossa connection. I removed the reset jumper and was able to flash Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin. After flashing I verified - all ok. I powered up but there was no life in the printer. I went through the reset and attempted to flash the Duet again but even though Bossa connected, I got a write fail.
          Thoughts ?

I think I have sorted things out. I had a whole raft of problems. I have no idea where the problem started and what other problems were subsequently introduced by my screwing around. I fell into the /sys vs /firmware folder trap which presumably did not allow the duet to start up. I then had issues with the wifi firmware and I needed to re-flash the wifi module.

You've come out the other side a wiser man.

@Phaedrux LOL .... too bad that the wisdom is rather fleeting at my age 😞
