optical endstop for duet wifi (3.3v)

If I got is right , the duet 3 doesn't support led status lights for the optical endstop , only the duet 2 , can it be confirmed , is there anyway to overcome that difficulty ? can I still use the duet 3 with optical endpoints ?

@itayguy How do you mean? That the optical endstop has a LED status light, or the endstop status light on the (Duet 2 only) board? The on-board LED was deleted from the Duet 3 as most people stick their Duets in a case, so they can't be seen, so are relatively irrelevant! It makes no difference to the function of the optical endstop.
For connecting 3.3V optical endstops, see https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/Sensors_endstops#h-33v-compatible-optical-endstop
Edit: I expect you can put an LED in-line somewhere that triggers when the endstop triggers. The wiring diagram for Duet 2 shows how it's wired. https://github.com/Duet3D/Duet-2-Hardware/blob/master/Duet2/Duet2v1.05/Duet2_1.05_Schematic.pdf

@itayguy A lot of optical endstops have LEDs on board, so if there are no LEDs on the controller, or if you can't see them, you may be able to see the LEDs at the endstops.
When you're shopping for optical endstops, I recommend units that include an LM393 comparator chip, such as this one. I have tested similar parts and found them to be very high precision parts. The ones I have work fine at the voltage supplied at the Duet2 board endstop pins.

@mrehorstdmd thanks , I have led on my endstop , I would like to use duet 3 , but if I got it right it doesn't support that .

@itayguy The LED on the optical endstop is entirely controlled by the endstop itself, I would have thought, and is on when the endstop is triggered, and off when it isn't. No Duet will control the LED on the endstop itself. Why would it?
