extruder idle current inverted

Hi all,
I am running RPi4 + duet mini 5+
have toolboardsv for the extruders.
I just discovered that the
M906 X1600 Y1600 Z850 E600:600 I30
sets extruder motor to 30% current and then obviosly it has no torque and you can pull out the filament with skipping steps while it is printing.
When it is paused the current goes to 100% and filament would not move at all.
When the I30 is replaced with I100 - while printing - all goes to normal and the extruder has full current and is extruding just fine
