Linking a fan

Hi,
I unfortunately "took out" my channel 1 fan transistor - dumb mistake.
I was hoping I can "link" one of the other 2 pmw fan channels to that tool.
I searched a bit but cant seem to find it. Can anyone help?
Im running just a single extruder - nothing fancy.
Id also like it to show up in the panel due as a button - the fan button that's in there must be linked only to channel 1.

Add parameter F2 to your M563 P0 command in config.g. Then commands to adjust the fan speed with no fan number specified will be routed to fan 2 if tool 0 is active.

I did that - the Duet display still only shows the 1 fan button and its still "linked" to fan 1 in the web interface.

Can a fan from a Duex be assigned as a print fan to a tool?

If you want additional fans to be displayed in DWC go to Settings - User Interface - then in the panel labelled "Fans" - "Show sliders for" and tick the box for Fan 2 and/or 3.

Yeah I did that - shows in the web interface but not on the PanelDue.

So from that I assumed that you were talking about the Duet Web Interface. -

PanelDue provides only one fan adjuster. It send the M106 command without the P parameter just as slicers do, so any fan mapping that you specify in your M563 commands will be used. You can of course use the Console page to send an M106 command for any other fan from the keyboard. You can also set up macros to set the fans in a particular way.

So…..if I add the F2 parameter to tool#1 then according to what you said, the "fan" button on the PanelDUE should be "linked" as well? I.E. show the fan speed for Fan 2?

Good point - I'll need to check which fan setting gets sent to PanelDue.
