What would be the most likely case of a smart effector not blinking at all on startup? (And consequentally not detecting contact with buuild plate). Wiring and power looks correct and I have voltage.

(yes, this is the same smart effector that went the "6 or 7 blink" path a while back.)

AND, is there any way to make the firmware realize that the probe is not responding?

Is this a new smart effector? Was it working at one point, but no longer?

Firmware version? How is it configured? What all is connected to it?

Do you have a link to the 6 or 7 blink post?

@Phaedrux THis post. So, yeah Not new, but very few hours really.

Yeah, it was working. Then it started the 6-7 blink thing which made it unreliable when running delta calibration or mesh. But it was usually fine enough for a single probe.

Now it seems to not want to do that either.

If i unplug the smart effector, and unplug one of my other smart effectors i do at least get the blinks.

@Phaedrux Um, now i am confused. In the linked thread it was stated "Well out of warranty" (which it is). So, which is it? 🙂
