Test cube is half the size it should be on test print.
-
When i did my first print i did a test cube. It was 10mm all sides and should have been 20mm all side.
I used a test paper to jog and measure in increments of 20mm and its right on the spot so i know my steps are ok.
Any ideas on what i should try?; Configuration file for Duet 3 MB 6HC (firmware version 3.3) ; executed by the firmware on start-up ; ; generated by RepRapFirmware Configuration Tool v3.3.16 on Thu Nov 16 2023 14:37:40 GMT-0600 (Central Standard Time) ; General preferences G90 ; send absolute coordinates... Perhaps you inadvertently told the slicer to scale the print?
Frederick
P.S. And I see you are still using bed.g instead of mesh.g
-
@fcwilt no check and told it to print 20mm on all axis. Using cura.!
-
@ecnsupplies said in Test cube is half the size it should be on test print.:
told it to print 20mm on all axis. Using cura.
What do you mean by "told it"?
Normally the STL you slice determines the size.
If the STL is not too big post it here.
Thanks?

@fcwilt
I ment to say I double checked it. The stl says it's 20mm all sides.
See picture. This is the stick test cubes size. -
-
OK. I don't use CURA but I fired it up and saw what you were talking about.
So that would seem to leave your duet configuration wrong as the problem BUT you verified movement by measuring.
From the DWC console execute a M579 and see what it repots.

@fcwilt
Made a test pattern to measure 25mm on each axis and jogged to each. They are exact. -
@fcwilt
One forum said it might be z accep and jerk are to high. Any clue were this would be? -
M579. Axis scale factors x1.000, y:1.000 z:1.000
-
So M587 is not the culprit either.
I don't think your acceleration or "jerk" settings are too high. They are higher than mine but I don't think it would drastically affect the size.

@fcwilt
Duet recommend cura so that's what I installed. -
CURA is fine based on the large numbers of users.
I just never could get good prints out of it using it's typical settings.
Since my "goto" slicer works for me I have never taken to the time to work with CURA to get good results.

@fcwilt
I downloaded a different slicer and will run it tonight just so I can say I did.
Let you know tomorrow
