Retrofitting Duet 3 6hc to Qidi Tech 1
-
Hello all, as the topic says I am putting a Duet 3 6hc V1.02 into my old Qidi Tech 1 printer. I have everything good to go except the heated bed thermistor. I cannot for the life of me get it to register anything except -237.1c and "sensor open circuit" fault. I have hours in it and much googling to no avail. I could use any help possible. Thank you!

@Tyler Please post your config.g, and send M115 in the console and post the output. Please show how you have wired the thermistor to the board, ie to which pin header. If you have a multimeter, check the resistance of the thermistor between its wires.
You can check the Duet is working correctly, by connecting a resistor of a known value to the temperature input pins. I use have made some plug in ones for diagnostics:

My Config.g is as follows. I have been toying with the thermistor values based on anything I can find online because I have no actual information on it, with it being a Chinese clone. The bed has a pcb heater/thermistor and the pins are labeled (Sig, Gnd,Gnd,5v,+24v,Heat-) for six wires coming from it. I have the signal pin and the ground running to "temp0" pins on the Duet. I can see the traces for each GND combine immediately before going by a resistor labeled 4701. When I test the resistance I am getting .225 M Ohms. I currently do not have a temp sensor wired for the hot end because this printer came with thermocouples on the hotend and I have some new 100k thermistors coming in tomorrow to replace.I am very new to messing with electronics like this so I thank you very much for your assistance.
