      I have a delta kossel with a smoothieboard currently setup. I purchased the effector 4.0 .
      Anyone have experience setting this style printer up?

        @wbrokow1 are you running smoothieware or the LPC RRF port on the smoothieboard?

          @wbrokow1 see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/Duet3D_hardware/Accessories/Smart_Effector#compatibility-with-other-electronics-and-firmware

          This section mentions Marlin and Klipper, not Smoothieware specifically though. However it contains generalised advice for connecting and control.

              @oliof is there an advantage to use rrf on the smoothie board?

                @wbrokow1 my experience with smoothie was short and unhappy so being here my answer will be biased. I think you may be able to run rrf until version 3.3 on an lpc176x board (port provided by TeamGloomy). You will get help with rrf here in the forum, but I don't think anyone knows much about smoothieware

                  @wbrokow1 the RRF part for Smoothieboard and other LPC processor based boards is no longer maintained, due to the low amount of RAM provided by that processor.

                  The Smart Effector should work with Smoothieware excep that you won't be able to program the sensitivity.
