      Hello all,

I moved back to the US from Europe and finally got my printer appropriately converted from 220 to 120V. In the process, I decided to upgrade it from a Duet 2 to a Duet 3 and basically redo the entire setup.

I am getting a waiting for Transfer Ready bit error.

I've got a Duet 3 with a RPi 4 connected with a ribbon cable. The RPi has its own power source connected to the USB-C connector and the Duet 3 is powered from 24V going into the board.

I have followed the documentation and I looked into the issue but I am having trouble figuring this out. The RPi boots fine but just will not connect to the Duet.

It feels like the dc power to each of the devices is floating relative to each other and there is a note that the negative (common) of their DC power supplies need to be connected, but I dont know the best way to do this.

Ok, I might have missed it somewhere, but I pulled the SD card out of the Duet 3 that came with it and Everything seems to be fine. Is the the correct setup?

        • No SD Card in the Duet

        • SD card with RPi image loaded with DWC/ DSF loaded onto it

        • Connected via ribbon cable

Yes that is correct. If the SD card is in the Duet it would try to work in standalone mode. It must be removed to work with the SBC.
