      Hi!
I have two 23CL motors in CoreXY configuration, works perfect and super smooth but.
If I send M18 and then move the printhead to a random position by hand and then sending M17 to enable the motors, the printhead does a randome move in X and Y.
      Is this supposed to happen?

Is it possible to tell the motors that they are on the correct position and don't have to go to the old position (Old position is never reached by the controller)?

FW version 3.5.0-rc.3 (Duet 6HC and the 23CL Motors)

I don't know if this will solve your problem, but please update to the final release of 3.5.1

@Kiwi-0 when in closed loop mode the motors will attempt to restore position. If you want to move them by hand, switch them to open loop mode.

If you wish, open a github feature request to ignore changes in the encoder reading while the motor is disabled.

Stepper motors generate voltage when moved by hand so you should only move them slowly.
