Hello! I want to purchase smart effector.

      The option "e3d v6 with PT100" has a note "no Heatsink, 24V "

what kind of heatsink should i add to my order to have full set for working hotend.
(from the pictures on the product page it looks like all is included, including carbon arms???)

      do i need PT100 sensor?
      do i need PT100 board?

      thank you!

P.S. when IR probe will be available?

The reason the note is there is that the smart effector board comes with a custom heatsink made by e3d as standard. the addon part you refer to is the rest of the e3d v6 hotend.

The arms are an option to add as well.

sorry, i can not figure out:
          do i need PT100 sensor?
          do i need PT100 board?

do i need to purchase that " rest of the e3d v6 hotend." separately? it is shown on the pictures…
          thank you!

P.S. when IR probe will be available?

The E3D hot ends can be used with a thermistor, PT100, or thermocouple temperature sensor. If you use the thermistor, then you don't need the daughter board. The PT100 sensor is more accurate, but you need the daughter board to use it.

Yes I think that list is complete.

Regarding IR sensor availability, I don't know why they are showing as out of stock on duet3d.com. I have plenty available to order at escher3d.com. But of course a printer with the Smart Effector doesn't need an IR sensor.

                  Now i'm affarid to ask - SmartEffector….

i found on thу web that it works as a "strain gauge“, thus works with any surface (including glass)
the precision is about than 7 micron

                  is that correct? thanks!

The repeatability depends on the resolution and repeatability of your tower motors and mechanics too; but yes, that is correct.

I can supply the IR sensor because I manufacture them (see my site escher3d.com); but I am sorry, I can't help with the other items, which are supplied by Think3DPrint3d of behalf of Duet3D. They are closed until 2 January.

You will need to email info at duet3d dot come with a list of what you want to order; except that you can order the IR sensor direct from me at escher3d.com now if you wish.

The fan voltage can be 12V or 24V, whichever you supply from the Duet. There is a 12V/24V jumper on the effector to adjust the lighting current for the supply voltage.

You can use a 3-wire fan if you leave the speed sense wire (normally yellow) disconnected.

The heater cartridge comes with the E3D hot end and is available in 12V and 24V versions. The current will be 1 to 2A for the 24V version, and 2 to 4A for the 12V version.

E3D doesn't yet sell 4-wire PT100 sensors. What I recommend is to use a 2-wire sensor but to run 4 wires from the effector to the Duet.
