My BLTouch didn't work and the bed crashed into both my Magnum+ extruders which bent and broke from the gantry.

I bought parts to fix everything and now one head works perfectly (IDEX) while the second head had it's thermistor wires pulled out of the thermistor.

So I connected a new 100k thermistor from slice engineering and it doesn't change anything and the temperature shows -273c no matter if the thermistor is connected or not.

I have tried another unknown thermistor I had laying around and also nothing.

Any idea what's the problem and how to fix it?

@roig12 What board and firmware are you using? Do you have toolboards on the extruders, or wired to the mainboard?

-273C is open circuit. Check you have plugged the thermistor into the correct temperature input pins. To test the Duet, put a 100k ohm resistor on the defined temperature pins. I have these for testing:

Or, if you're using the same thermistor on another hot end or the heated bed, connect that to the temperature pins. You can even just jumper the pins, and the temperature should read 2000C.

Assuming you get some response, the fault is in the wiring or with the thermistor itself. Use a multimeter to check the resistance along the wire. Check that it's not grounding out to the hot end or some other wiring.

@droftarts I see, so it's not the thermistor as I measured it and it's 100K.
I guess I will check where the wires were damaged and fix the open circuit since I touched both ends of the wires together and nothing changes.

        Thank alot!
