About to add Z probe scanning on next upgrade
At Formnect 23 Tony Lock introduced the SZP board along with three coil types, one of which was a design to allow a Bltouch to probe through the centre of the coil before scanning the bed. The other two coil types are the ones currently being supplied with the board. Can anybody tell me if the Bltouch coil is available, if so where from, or did Duet drop the idea.
If using one of the supplied coils is it workable to drill a hole in the centre and probe through the coil.

@ortondale it might be that the requirement of the coil having a deadzone of 30mm above it invalidated this design idea. The metal and electronics inside a probe like BLTouch might be enough to throw off measurements.

This is a similar question to what I have with the 30mm exclusion zone above the coil. One of the pictures Duet uses almost looks like the 30 is a soft cap and we may be able to get away wit ha little bit less.

@Notepad a small amount of metal several mm above the coil won't matter as long as its position is fixed native to the coil. The BLTouch is mostly plastic anyway.
