Klicky probe config
-
hi,
Him at the point in my build were i have to finalize the config and test everything , my issue right now is the klicky probe ,
probe is attached , blue light is on , take the probe out and blue light turn off ,
attach the probe , press the switch and the light turn off . but the duet doesnt seem to detect the signal at all , whole time probe position show 0 with and without the probe no matter if i press it or not . i think the wiring is okay , but him not 100% sure either if the wiring is good i couldnt find any specific information about it ,i have wire plugged into 3.3v , io3.in and ground
m558 give me this : m558
Z Probe 0: type 8, input pin !1.io3.in, min interval 2ms, dive heights 5.0,5.0mm, probe speeds 120,120mm/min, travel speed 6000mm/min, recovery time 0.00 sec, heaters normal, max taps 1, max diff 0.03config

@Dad003 given your Klicky has an LED I'm guessing its the PCB type? from what I've read its a 5v supply might be worth checking, but it may only power the LED, it may also help to turn the printer off disconnect the probe and meter out the switch on the signal/ground lines and check the switch is working without the power line connected, as another possible issue my klicky config doesn't have the input inverted with the ! in it, you need to find out if it's a normal open or closed switch fitted.

@Dad003 Can you share photos of your klicky? Is it PCB klicky? There is a solder "jumper " to switch 5 V to 24 V circuit on PCB clicky
I had made this mistake, and for some reason, it worked ok and, in one moment, started to be intermittent until I found my mistake. Also, I would suggest using 5V and not 3.3 power
Please share info and we can help further.
I have Klicky setup and running on both Duet wifi and Duet 3 with tool board -
@martin7404 yea it the PCB klicky , I'll try to switch the 3v to 5v tonight and see what happen , it does has that soldered jumper
-
@Dad003 What version of RRF are you using? Do you have a Toolboard and is the klicky attached to it?
-
@gloomyandy I use the latest stable version 3.5.x and it it on the expansion board 3hc . I'll double check later tonight

@Dad003 said in Klicky probe config:
okay got it working , now seem like some of my wire were inversed and config had a little error , and it was set to 24v so soldered the bypass for 3v . there might need to be more documentation on the klicky wiring part .
-
@Dad003 But the wiring is the same as using a regular stop switch . And the solder jumper is well described in klicky documentation
