I am installing a Duet magnetic roller filament sensor on my Voron 2.4 Stealthburner. I have it connected to a Duet 3 Mini 5+ WiFi with the the expansion board Duet 3 Expansion Mini 2+ running the latest versions of DWC and DWS. The instructions say " Important! If you are using a Duet 3 or 3 Mini with tool or expansion boards, then the filament monitor must be connected to the same board as the motor for the extruder that it is monitoring. Filament monitors connected to tool and expansion boards are supported in RepRapFirmware 3.2beta4 and later". When I check config.g all stepper drivers seem to be addressed as if they are on the main board not an expansion board. Right now my extruder is defined as M569 P6 S1 on the 2+ expansion board. Do I need to move my E Stepper to P569 P 1-4 on the main board to work with IO_5 where the filament sensor is connected or will it work as connected now? Thanks

@JADoglio no, you're fine. The mini 5+ expansion board isn't a CAN connected one and the firmware just sees it as the board having a couple more drivers

Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is
