Erase Pins
-
Hello, I need to reboot the Duet 3 mini 5+ card using the "erase pins" procedure. My problem is that I can't find them, neither on the front nor on the back. And even with the card's documentation, I can't find it.
-
@Aubertin Duet 3 Mini doesn't use an Erase jumper. See https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/RepRapFirmware/Updating_firmware#duet-3-mini-5-wifiethernet.

@dc42 , thanks you very much.
I followed the procedure as indicated in your link, and nothing changed. My symptom with the Duet 3 mini 5+ board is this: it was working fine with 4 motors when suddenly, everything stopped. When I reconnect the USB cable, only the 5V LED works, but the others are off, especially the 3.3V one.Do you have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

@Aubertin sounds like a short and you've killed the 3.3v regulator.
Best disconnect everything and see if that cures it first, otherwise inspect the board for component damage -
@Aubertin if after you disconnect everything except USB the 3.3V LED still doesn't light, check whether anything is getting hot, in particular the WiFi module (if fitted), the SD card socket, and the processor.

@dc42 and @jay_s_uk ,Thank you for your feedback.
I looked closely with a magnifying glass and didn't see anything abnormal (swollen components or brown traces). I also connected the device with no load (still only the red LED ON), and nothing was heating up. However, I saw a temperature of around 40°C on the right side of SPI_DB and a small U10 component with an IR thermometer.
Do you have any other ideas?
Also, after the weekend break, when I reconnected the USB, the LEDs lit up steadily for 2 seconds, then only the red one remained ON.

@Aubertin U10 is the 3.3v regulator, so its either damaged or there is another short on the 3.3v line from another component on the board
-
@jay_s_uk , Thank you for your reply, this area of electronics is not my specialty at all. So, do you think there is a solution for troubleshooting or repairing it or more simply, I could no longer operate it?
-
@Aubertin if you have a hotair station you can remove the regulator and check for a short between the ground and 3.3v lines. If there isn't one then you can install a new regulator and it should work
-
@Aubertin did you try removing the SD card?
-
@dc42 , yes the sd card is removed. And I don't have an hotair station and I don't know where is the 3.3 V regulator.
-
@Aubertin the 3.3v regulator is U10 which you said was getting hot
