I have the duet 6xd why is everything so complicated. I just want to send a run command to my fd. But coming from industry standart with siemens s7 all these pull up pull down things are so complicated for what? Why are these boards dont have just standart 24v open or closing contacts.

Currently im starting the frequency drive manully the rpm controlle works but at 0 rpm the spindle gives so many emv problems. But having it start and stop over the board is such a nightmare

To allow for the widest possible range of applications. And because our users demand support for a wide range of devices.

If you just want to turn the FD on and off, and the 6XD is running on 24V, you can send 24V to the FD from one of the heater outputs. Though all outputs are switched on the negative side, because that's how MOSFETs work. If the FD requires a positive voltage switched signal, you can use the same output to control a solid state relay, to control the FD.

Please post the make and model of VFD you are using, and ideally a link to the manual, along with any other relevant information. Then we can suggest options. Otherwise, see https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Machine_configuration/Configuration_CNC#connecting-a-spindle
