I've a pair of systems where I would like to disable the hotends (using daemon.g if not already supported in the firmware) if they have been enabled for more than a few seconds and the fan speed is lower than expected to catch fan faliure before heat creap causes more substatial issues.

Anyone got recomendations for fans which are at least as capable as the E3D V6 or Slice Eng. Copperhead supplied units and have techo outputs?

Ok I can see a few options for three wire 30x30x10mm fans, does anyone have to hand the specs of the fans used in terms of either part numbers or flow rates?

        Thanks.

@DocTrucker I approached this problem by clipping a spare thermistor to the cold end, and monitoring it via daemon.g. Might add a belt to your tacho braces.
