Wireless PanelDue?

I have a PanelDue 3.0 with 7" Touchscreen that I have yet to install on my SeeMeCNC Artemis as I am still working out the positioning of the display. I had recently been looking to see if it was in any way possible to use the PanelDue wirelessly (It would be battery powered or powered by external AC adapter). Could a 4 pin transceiver or similar device possibly work as a reliable solution, or would I be making more trouble for myself by trying to make the unit wireless? If this is possible, what particular product or type of product of would work best?

I'm sure it would be possible, however the 7" touch screen draws about 650mA from 5V, so the batteries wouldn't last very long. Unlike other 3D printer control panels, PanelDue needs only a 4-core cable and can tolerate long cable lengths. So I suggest you use a wired solution. If you want to go wireless, you could use a cheap tablet computer running DWC instead.

The PanelDue is (mostly) cool due to the serial interface which ensures reliable and fast communications for important inputs.
If you went and made it wireless you essentially removed the key function and converted it to a state where Any old tablet would be doing a better job really. -
There are probably a bunch of modules out there that would work. One of the most "zero setup" with which I have hands on experience is:

Pre-Paired at 38.400 baud (so change your Panel via the setup tab, and your printer via M575).
I believe that the BT module positioned at the printer would work from the PanelDue connector on the printer, with appropriate cable. The module on the PanelDue would also work, but SOMETHING has to provide 5V regulated power to both the BT module and the PanelDue.
I can see a million reasons NOT to do this… already mentioned above... however, if you do wish to pursue it, the above BT modules should be easy to try.
